I Like to Start REVOLUTIONS!

Notice:

We have wonderful guys in the CHYSA. They’re great friends, and we enjoy hanging out with them, but therein is where the problem lies.

Hanging out. Yes. Our favorite thing. We hang out in the hopes of getting a date. These are great guys! They’re funny, quirky, sweet, nice, handsome, and the list could go on. But after hanging out for so long, is it even worth it? Do the guys take us for granted? And with all the other girls hanging around, how can you even figure if you’re being noticed? You try to get his attention, but he never makes a move. (We’ve all been there and understand. Join the club.)

This is where the fun comes in! The prophets have taught us what dating is. 1)Planned 2) Paired off, and 3) Paid for. Hanging out doesn’t include any of that. The plan is to change that here in the CHYSA. The first weekend of July is the last time to “hang out” for the month of July. We’re going to stage a REVOLUTION. None of this will work if we all aren’t in on it together.

Here’s the plan: We’re suggesting that as of Monday, July 9, 2012, and until July 31, 2012,any time the guys say/text, “hey! We’re going to get froyo/bowling/movie, everyone’s invited!” (Aka mass invite,) don’t go. Yes. I just said that. Ignore them, tell them “no”, tell them you’re washing your zebra, or whatever it takes.

For the first little bit, they may go hang out with each other, but after a while, they’ll realize they’re on a Man-Date. After so many weenie roasts, they’re bound to get the message. If they want us to accompany them on adventures/outings/parties/movie nights, they’re going to have to call us up, ask us out, pick us up, and call it a real date.

The hook of this is...WE have to say “YES!” Unless you legitimately can’t make it to something, don’t make excuses. Give him at least one date. Who cares if he’s half a foot shorter than you? (Okay, maybe I’m one of the six girls who might have that problem, but you get what I’m saying.) Go have a good time. It’s not like you’re getting sealed to him after the first date. You’re friends. That’s it.

We promise to take the pressure off if they promise to ask us out.
We promise to say yes if they promise to show us a good time (aka the 3 P’s of Dating)

Signed,
The Sisters of the CHYSA
